The Elderly Cat

I had a wonderful client with a diabetic elderly cat. In the dead of winter. dragging her cat out of the house daily to take her to the vet’s office was not an option. We decided to travel daily to the client’s home for the cat’s treatment. Many times she slept in the warm sun while we gave her the injection. It helped my client feel as if her cat was at peace in the comfort of her own home.  When our client’s cat did eventually pass on, she passed with dignity and peace. We care as much about our humans as we do our animals.

Homesick Dogs

I have cared for dogs in their homes for a full winter season while the owners enjoy their home in Florida. This past winter, one of my clients decided to take the dogs with them. After many emails, I ended up going to Florida to pick them up. “The dogs,” as my client tells me, “are absolutely miserable in the humidity and heat!”  They do not enjoy the leash walks they have been getting. They are very active and love the freedom that comes with the special care we give.
